Founding CEO — Independent Canadian Wealth Manager

Foundry Wealth is building the independent, full-service wealth manager Canada is missing: one team that brings planning, investments, tax and estate together for clients across the whole arc of their wealth, and a modern home for the advisors who serve them.

It's human-powered and technology-enabled: real advisors and real relationships at the front, with an AI-enabled operating model handling the busywork behind them, so the firm can serve more people, better, than the old model ever could. It's early, well-backed, and looking for a founding CEO to build it from here.

This is a genuine zero-to-one seat. You'll shape the vision alongside the firm's backer, make the first hires, stand up the platform, and write the playbook rather than inherit one.

Why this, why now

• The Canadian market is fragmented and aging. A generation of advisors is approaching succession with no good home for their clients or their life's work.
• Clients are underserved in the middle: too complex for an app, not yet a priority for the big firms, and the bank-owned incumbents are conflicted by design.
• The model pairs organic growth, built on a genuinely better client experience, with selective acquisition of advisor practices and books. It compounds both ways.
• Backed by a committed Canadian investor with the patience to build something durable, not a quick flip.

What you'll do

• Set the strategy and vision with the firm's backer, and own execution end to end.
• Make the founding hires (advisors, investment, operations) and build the culture.
• Stand up the platform: the service model, the investment approach, the technology, the registrations.
• Drive growth on both fronts: organic client growth, and a disciplined, selective acquisition pipeline: sourcing, structuring and integrating practices, books and succession deals.
• Own the P&L and the firm's standards.

Who you are

• Deep in Canadian wealth. You've led or built within an advisory, portfolio-management or wealth platform, and you know how the industry actually works.
• Comfortable with the inorganic side. You understand practice and book acquisitions, deal structuring, and the hard part: integration, not just the thesis.
• An entrepreneur at heart. Grit, ownership, and a bias to action. You'd rather build the process than be handed one, and a blank page energizes you.
• A people magnet. Advisors and clients trust you; talent wants to follow you.
• CFP, CFA, or a track record that speaks for itself is a plus.

Terms

• Competitive base salary, plus a real ownership stake and meaningful performance upside.
• Toronto, ON, or remote across Canada. Permanent, full-time.
